Matt Webb designs lighting for Arkansas Repertory Theatre

Assistant Clinical Professor Matt Webb created the lighting for Arkansas Repertory Theatre's new production of Broadway and regional staple Guys and Dolls, which reviewers at broadwayworld.com called "Broadway level entertainment" and the Arkansas Democract-Gazette called "a sure bet."

In developing the lighting design for this new production of Guys and Dolls, Matt returned for a short residency at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Little Rock's professional regional theatre and a company where Matt spent eight years as a staff member. In a visual collaboration with director Gustavo Zajac, University of Arkansas theatre professor Michael Riha, and The Rep's resident costume designer Stacey Herrison, Matt developed a dynamic, colorful Guys and Dolls which modernized the Golden Age musical while paying homage to its traditional roots. In addition to positive reviews from broadway.com and the Democrat-Gazette, another review at AY Magazine called the creative team's work "instrumental in making the musical so incredible."
