Phillips Harbarger

Phillips Harbarger received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations in 2010 from Mississippi State University.

Harbarger grew up in Huntsville, Ala., and he now resides in Nashville where he works as Senior Account Executive for 4Wall Entertainment. 

Daily responsibilities for Harbarger include managing the local sales team in Nashville and supplying rentals and sales to his customer base within the Live Entertainment industry. Harbarger became interested in his current job because of his previous theatre tech experience in high school and college.

Harbarger shares his advice to undergraduates who are getting ready to apply for jobs.

“When it comes to applying for jobs, find a job you look forward to doing every day. A well-organized resume is important, and honesty is best.”

Favorite memory as a communication student?
Graduation! It was a great success to make it to this day.

Favorite communication class you took and why?
Fundamentals of Public Speaking - I use what I learned from this class daily in my job. 

Favorite communication professor and why?
Dr. Hank Flick’s interview class. 

Most valuable lesson learned from the communication department?
AP Writing Style

What are you most passionate about?
My job, family, and friends as well as live music.
