Upon graduation from MSU in 2001, Benjamin Hart received his Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Broadcasting. Hart is a native of Detroit, Michigan, and he now works in Savannah Georgia as the President and General Manager of WJCL-TV, an ABC affiliate owned by Hearst Television.

Department of Communication Broadcast & Digital Journalism Instructor Chris Misun produced, directed, and edited a music video for Mississippi Singer/songwriter, Emily White. White debuts her first original single, "Child of Mississippi," off of her new album in the video. The music video was shot over the course of two and a half days in Meridian, Miss., in October of 2020. Emily White is a recording artist signed with Creative and Dreams Music Network.
Two MSU students are winners in the 2020 College Broadcasters Electronic Media 19th annual National Student Production Awards. The students are Communication majors in the Broadcast and Digital Journalism concentration.
