Awards & Honors Two MSU students win 2nd place in national broadcasting contest
Two MSU students are winners in the 2020 College Broadcasters Electronic Media 19th annual National Student Production Awards. The students are Communication majors in the Broadcast and Digital Journalism concentration.
Spotlight Marshall Harris
Marshall Harris is a 2000 graduate of Mississippi State with a Bachelor's in Communication with a concentration in Broadcasting. A Huntsville, Ala., native, Harris now lives in Sacramento, Calif., where he serves as the Sports Director at KOVR-CBS 13 News.
New & Noteworthy Take 30 airs live newscast each Friday at 4 p.m.
Take 30, a live newscast produced each week by students in the Broadcast & Digital Journalism capstone course, recently held internal student auditions for the Fall 2020 show.
Broadcast Instructor Chris Misun, in collaboration with multiple MSU departments, receives the 2020 CRPAM Grand Award in the Senior Division
