Mississippi State students have chosen a new group of Bulldog royalty to represent the university in its 2023 Homecoming Court, which will be presented formally during halftime of the MSU vs. University of Kentucky football game Saturday [Nov. 4] at 6:30 p.m.

Fisher featured in A&S Faculty Book Talk Series

Dr. Melody Fisher, an associate professor in Public Relations, will be featured at the MSU Faculty Book Talk series Oct. 20 at 3:30 p.m. in the Grisham Room at the Mitchell Memorial Library. The book talk is to highlight academic books written by the MSU faculty. Melody’s book, “The Untold Power: Underrepresented Groups in Public Relations” will be read aloud and have a book signing.

Faculty members, PRISM students win SPRF Awards

Two Communication faculty members won several awards at the Southern Public Relations Federation Conference for their work with the MSU College of Arts & Sciences. Public Relations students also won multiple awards for their work with various organizations.

Kit Wallace

Kit Wallace received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations in 2004 from Mississippi State University. Wallace grew up in Decatur, Ala., and she now resides in Huntsville, Ala., where she works as a sales and reservations manager for TVG Hospitality and The Orion Amphitheater.

Jennifer Holloway

Jennifer Holloway received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations in 2010 from Mississippi State University. Holloway grew up in Starkville, Miss., and now lives in Houston, Texas. She currently works as a marketing and automation consultant for, “Jennifer Does Marketing” and contracts with a firm of Zapier Experts.

Precious Cornejo

Precious Cornejo is a senior from Memphis double majoring in communication with a concentration in public relations and wildlife, fisheries, and aquaculture with a concentration in conservation biology. Cornejo is a Roadrunner at MSU, and she is also on exec for the Dean’s Council for the College of Forest Resources.

Emma Crouch

Emma Crouch is a senior communication student from Saltillo, Miss., majoring in political science and communication with a concentration in public relations. Crouch is the vice president of membership for Roadrunner on campus, a member of Kappa Delta sorority, PRSSA and Pre-Law society.

Caroline Cunningham is a junior from Kennsaw, Ga., majoring in communication with a concentration in public relations. Cunningham is a Roadrunner on campus and is also involved in New Maroon Camp Exec, greek life, Dresses of Hope and the Bridgeway College Lead Team.

“Barbie” movie extra. International magazine and runway model. World traveler. Communication and philosophy student at Mississippi State University. Rayborn, an MSU junior and native of Brandon majoring in Communication and Philosophy, is using her talents to build a nationwide platform for human trafficking awareness.

Ella Sisk is a junior communication major from Charleston, S.C., majoring in communication with a concentration in public relations. Sisk currently serves as the president of MSU’s chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America and is a part of PRISM. Sink hopes to one day work in PR or advertising for Southern Living magazine.
