Theatre MSU presents "The Commedia Robin Hood" by Lane Riosley.
Funded by The Lorena J. "Rocky" Smith Endowment for the Performing Arts, this performance will be presented outdoors outdoors at the MSU Amphitheater.
The merry troupe — Columbine, Arlequin, Punchin, and Rosetta — tackle, tumble, trick, and trip their way through the tale of Robin Hood with fantastic abandon. Get ready for action-packed clowning with puppets, stilts, singing, patter verse, and mock combat in this unforgettable adaptation.
Commedia dell’arte, was a popular form of improvisational theatre that began in Italy in the 15th century. All performances were unscripted and held outdoors, with only simple props and no scenery.
*Face coverings will be required for all attendees, and no tickets will be sold onsite.
*Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and/or snacks as they enjoy a great time with a bumbling commedia troupe.
