Take 30 Control Room
Students work behind the scenes to produce the Take 30 live newscast. New plexiglass stations were installed and students wear masks to safely produce the show.

Take 30, a live newscast produced each week by students in the Broadcast & Digital Journalism capstone course, recently held internal student auditions for the Fall 2020 show.

Students began the semester by producing two live-to-tape shows (Sept. 4 & Sept. 11) as practice runs before their first live show which will air Friday, Sept. 18 at 4 p.m. on MSTV. The live show will air each Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. for the remainder of the Fall semester.

In addition to the Take 30 live TV broadcast, Take 30 The Podcast, will debut on Sat., Sept. 12. The podcast will feature news stories from each week's edition of Take 30 as well as follow-up interviews giving more detail about specific stories. Take 30 The Podcast will air each week on Saturday throughout the Fall semester. The podcast can be found on all of your favorite podcast apps.
