The Reflector took the top honor at the Mississippi Press Association’s 2021 Better Newspaper Contest, winning first place in General Excellence. The newspaper earned the top award and placed 19 times in other categories. Four Reflector staff members placed first in their individual categories.

MSU Speech & Debate team wins region
The MSU Speech and Debate team competed in the annual Southern Forensics Championship Tournament. Twenty-nine colleges and universities from nine states participated in this regional championship event, which was held online this year.
Misun produced recruitment video earns National Finalist for NBS Awards
In collaboration with the Air Force ROTC on Mississippi State University’s campus, Misun produced a new recruitment video for the AFROTC’s website as well as a 30-second commercial that aired in a Fall 2019 Mississippi State home football game. The national AFROTC has also promoted the video through their social media outlets.

Mississippi State University’s College of Arts and Sciences presented five MSU employees with “Outstanding BSIS Sponsor” awards in December for using their advisory positions to assist students seeking a Bachelor of Science of interdisciplinary studies.
