Sheri Pape-Blythe

Sheri Pape-Blythe received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations in 2002 from Mississippi State University. In 2005, Pape-Blythe earned her Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pape-Blythe grew up in Jackson, Miss. She now resides in Atlanta, Ga., where she works remotely as a Senior Marketing Manager at Doozy Solutions.

Marc Rolph

Marc Rolph received his Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Broadcasting in 2003 from Mississippi State University. Rolph grew up in Jackson, Miss., and now works as the executive director of communications and marketing at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

Uyanga Bazaa

Uyanga Bazaa is a native of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and has been a part of MSU’s Department of Communication for two years. Dr. Bazaa received a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from Texas Tech University and a Master of Arts in Mass Communication from the University of Kansas. At MSU, Dr. Bazaa teaches Research in Public Relations and Advertising, Public Relations Case Problems, Health Communication and Campaigns, and Introduction to Communication.

Trey Barrett

Trey Barrett is a senior communication major from Olive Branch, Miss., majoring in communication with a concentration in print & digital journalism and a minor in film studies. Barrett is involved in The Reflector as the life and entertainment editor, C.O.R.E., The Streetcar, and is an intern for the agriculture and natural resource marketing team. Barrett plans to one day be a film critic or review awards for a major publication.

Heather Harrison

Heather Harrison is a senior communication major from Hazlehurst, Miss., majoring in communication with concentrations in broadcast & digital journalism and public relations. Harrison was previously involved with the Speech and Debate Council and is currently involved with The Reflector. In the future, Harrison plans to move to New York and pursue her career in Print Journalism.

Taylor Barr

Taylor Barr is a senior communication major from Marietta, Ga. majoring in communication with a concentration in theatre and math. Barr is involved in Lab Rats Comedy, WMSV, and props for Theatre MSU’s production of “Macbeth”. He is also the founder of The Midnight Bizarre and serves as president of the Blackfriars Drama Society. Barr plans to one day to work on designing at Cortland Repertory Theatre in Cortland, New York, or become a playwright, director, designer, or actor.

Collin Christein is a senior communication major from Northampton, Pa. majoring in communication with a concentration in communication & media studies. Christein is currently involved in the Wesley Foundation’s Straight Up Bible Study and Freshman Navigator. Christein is unsure about his plans for after graduation.

Addie Thompson is a senior communication major concentrating in public relations from Oxford. Thompson is involved in Public Relations Student Society of America, Shackouls Honors College, and Brickfire Mentoring Program. In the future, she hopes to work on the marketing and content management side for small businesses.

Sarah Rendon presents at Undergraduate Research Symposium

Communication and Media Studies student Sarah Rendon presented research at the MSU Undergraduate Research Symposium on community-engaged learning. Her work, "Examining Student Perceptions of Community Engaged Learning through Reflection," was supervised by Dr. Holli Seitz and was recognized as the Social Sciences Category Winner in the Community-Engaged Research Track.

Lacretia Wimbley

Lacretia Wimbley received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Print & Digital Journalism in 2016 from Mississippi State University. Wimbley grew up in Jackson, Miss., and she now resides in Denver, Colo., where she is a Justice Reporter at Colorado Public Radio.
