Dr. Heesook Choi, a native of Gangneung, South Korea, has been a member of MSU’s Department of Communication for five years. Choi received a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Gangneung-Wonju National University, a master’s in Communication/Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and a doctorate in Journalism from the University of Missouri.
Pamela Dankins is a senior communication major from Amory, Miss., majoring in communication with a concentration in print & digital journalism. Dankins is a 2023 Stephen D. Lee Scholar and a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Gamma Beta Phi Society. She will intern during the 2023 summer for Mississippi Today.
Carrie McCormick, a Crystal Springs, Miss., native, re-joined the MSU Department of Communication this year. She previously taught in the department prior to going to law school. McCormick received a BA in communication at MSU, an MA in communication from the University of Arizona, and a JD from Mississippi College School of Law.
Kourtney Henry is a senior communication major from Alexandria, Va., majoring in communication with a concentration in Broadcast & Digital Journalism. Henry is involved with the on-campus organization F.L.A.R.E. and is a Holmes Culture Diversity Center volunteer. Henry hopes to one day be a social media specialist for the government or a producer of films.
Corin Davis is a senior communication major from Ocean Springs, Miss., majoring in communication with a concentration in theatre. Davis is currently involved in Lab Rats Comedy serving as short-form director, the Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Honor Society as president and is a member of the Famous Maroon Band.
Ella Sisk is a junior communication major from Charleston, S.C., majoring in communication with a concentration in public relations. Sisk currently serves as the president of MSU’s chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America and is a part of PRISM. Sink hopes to one day work in PR or advertising for Southern Living magazine.
Maley Moak is a senior communication major from Brookhaven, Miss., majoring in communication with a concentration in communication studies and a minor in religion. Moak is currently involved in Chi Omega sorority on campus. After graduation in May 2023, Moak will start law school at Mississippi College.
Rhett Hobart received his Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations in 2012 from Mississippi State University. In 2014, Hobart earned his master’s in business administration at Mississippi State University. Hobart grew up in Greenville, Miss., and now works as the deputy athletic director for external affairs at Auburn University in Auburn, Ala.
Sheri Pape-Blythe received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations in 2002 from Mississippi State University. In 2005, Pape-Blythe earned her Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pape-Blythe grew up in Jackson, Miss. She now resides in Atlanta, Ga., where she works remotely as a Senior Marketing Manager at Doozy Solutions.
Marc Rolph received his Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Broadcasting in 2003 from Mississippi State University. Rolph grew up in Jackson, Miss., and now works as the executive director of communications and marketing at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
