Helen Anne Horecky is a senior from Madison, Miss., majoring in communication with a concentration in public relations. Horecky is involved in Theatre MSU, the Montgomery Leadership Program, Delta Delta Delta sorority, and Blackfriars Drama Society. She currently has an internship with the Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems Additive Manufacturing research lab. Her dream job is to become a professional actress. 

Why communication?
I chose communication as my major because I was drawn to its power to shape perceptions and connect people. I have always been drawn to the art of storytelling, and I wanted to develop my skills to effectively create impactful messages and to contribute to meaningful conversations in today's society.

Advice for incoming communication students?
Get involved! Join clubs, take advantage of any internship opportunities, and network with fellow students, alumni, and professors! The more experience you have, the stronger your portfolio will become and the more fun you will have along the way!

Best advice you’ve received from a professor?
What’s meant to be won’t pass you by.

Dolce (best bagels in the world!)

Davis Wade Stadium hands down!

I always get “girls just wanna have fun” iced with oat milk from Dolce!
