The Reflector
The Reflector is Mississippi State University’s award-winning student newspaper, and the oldest student newspaper in the SEC. Since 1884, the Reflector has helped thousands of young writers, photographers, designers, and editors get their start in media. Some of the Reflector’s recent alumni who now shape the national dialogue include:
Ross Dellenger, national college football writer for Sports Illustrated
Elizabeth Crisp Dellenger, U.S. Capitol reporter for The Advocate
Ben Mims, cooking columnist for the Los Angeles Times
Anna Wolfe, investigative reporter and winner of the 2018 and 2019 Bill Minor Prize for Investigative Journalism
Craig Peters, senior editor for the Minnesota Vikings
Ryan Starrett, author of four history books about Mississippi and the South
Dustin Barnes, digital strategist for the USA Today Network
Although the Reflector still publishes a physical edition, it has adapted to the changing media landscape, winning national awards for its multimedia content and website in 2020. The Reflector is always looking for ambitious young content creators. Visit the Reflector website for more information.
