Melanie Harris

Melanie Morrow Harris, originally from Russellville, Alabama, received her bachelor's degree in special education and master's degree in secondary education-theatre at Mississippi State. Harris’s first job after college was working as the assistant to a brewmaster. She worked her way through college as a pharmacy technician, so she knew sterile technique and how to follow a formula.

Kailey Redding

After an unexpected change in major, MSU Communication alumna Kailey Redding found her passion for the art of communication. Redding graduated from MSU with a degree in Communication and a concentration in Journalism. Initially pursuing a career in art, Redding earned an associate’s degree in graphic design technology and another associate’s degree in fine art from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

Erin Erter

Erin Erter is a sophomore Communication major with a concentration in Print & Digital Journalism from Flowood. Eter currently works as the opinion director for the Reflector and also acts as an editor for The Streetcar, a student literary journal. Erter says writing about the arts is her favorite area of journalism. She hopes to one day work as an editor or writer for a music magazine interviewing artists.

Maggie Heath

Maggie Heath is a junior communication major with a concentration in public relations from Brandon. Heath entered MSU as a Kinesiology student planning to go to physical therapy school but quickly realized that was not the path she wanted to take. After prayer, reflection and seeking guidance from professors and mentors, she decided to change her major to communication.

Wendy Zupa

Brandon, Mississippi, native, Wendy Stowe Zupa, graduated from Mississippi State University in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and a concentration in Broadcasting. Zupa worked as a news anchor and reporter across the state of Mississippi and in Nashville until a job in another area of communication presented itself.

Karley Woods, a Florence native, is a senior Communication major with a concentration in Print & Digital Journalism. Woods currently serves as an intern in the College of Arts & Sciences where she works as the social media coordinator.

Hattiesburg native, Olivia Miley, graduated from Mississippi State University in just three years with a bachelor’s degree in communication and a concentration in public relations. Guided by Dr. John Forde, she strategically lined up her courses to finish quickly while still excelling academically.

Mississippi State University’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter is earning national recognition for its excellence in leadership, service and professional development, and one of its own is receiving a top individual honor.

Kellie Walton

Franklin,TN native Kellie Walton graduated from Mississippi State with a bachelor's degree in communication and a concentration in public relations in 2016. After graduating from MSU, Walton worked for different PR firms for about six years, realizing hospitality and tourism was quickly becoming her favorite industry with which to work.

Aundrea Self

Starkville native Aundrea Self has worked in broadcasting her entire career. Shortly after receiving a bachelor's degree in English and Mass Communication from Stillman College, Self began working in radio. She then moved to television, working as a producer, reporter and eventually an anchor.
