Zoie Henson

Zoie Henson is a senior communication and philosophy major from Philadelphia, Miss., with concentrations in public relations and religion. Henson is involved in College of Arts and Science Ambassadors, Delight Ministries where she serves as the communication chair, and in PRISM. In the future, she plans to receive a dual master’s degree in both communication and philosophy. Henson would ultimately like to work as a communication director and women’s minister in a church.

Jade Keaton

Jade Keaton is a senior communication major from Tupelo majoring in communication with a concentration in theatre. Keaton is involved in Theatre MSU serving as stage manager, assistant stage manager or assistant director. Keaton also serves as the business manager of Alpha Psi Omega and is a member of the Blackfriars Drama Society and The Scene. After graduation, Keaton plans to obtain an MFA in stage management with the hopes of becoming a professional stage manager in a theatre environment.

John Nicholson

John Nicholson, a Memphis native, joined the MSU Department of Communication in the fall of 2008. During his time so far here at MSU, he has taught Communication Theory at the introductory and graduate level. He has also taught Nonverbal, Interpersonal and Small Group Communication. Dr. Nicholson received a bachelor’s degree in communication in 1992 at the University of Memphis. In 1993, he returned and received a master’s degree in communication. From there, he received a Ph.D. in communication from the University of Iowa in 1998.

Kristi Brown

Kristi Brown received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations in 1992 from Mississippi State University. Brown grew up in Collierville, Tenn. and then moved to Starkville, Miss. in the 9th grade. She has resided here ever since, now working for Tennessee Valley Authority as a Regional Consultant in Economic Development in the MS region of TVA. Brown also has her own life coaching and speaking business, Upside Brown Consulting.

Ben Shannon

Ben Shannon, a junior communication major concentrating in broadcast and digital journalism, is a native of Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Shannon is heavily involved in Hail State Productions and MSU’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes and would love to work in video production, specifically creative video for sports.

Josh Stewart

Joshua Stewart, a Tupelo, Miss., native, is a junior majoring in communication with a concentration in print and digital journalism. He currently works with The Reflector as the Life Editor. In the future, Stewart wants to fulfill his long-lived dreams of writing for a major publication, especially a newspaper in New York City or Washington D.C., or with an entertainment publication like Pitchfork.

Josh Foreman, a native of Jackson, Miss., has been a member of the Department of Communication faculty for three years teaching photographic communication; editing and design; and Bulldog Online Newsroom.

Vicki Burnett

Vicki Burnett received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations in 1986. Burnett, a native of Louisville, Miss., currently resides in Starkville, Miss., owning her own company, Burnett Art. Burnett Art specializes in painting cowbells as well as some traditional paintings as well. The origins of her painting root back to 1983, when Burnett painted her first cowbell.

Lynn Henderson Oldshue

Lynn Henderson Oldshue received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations in 1991 from Mississippi State University and then attended the University of Alabama and earned a master’s in Marketing. The Yazoo City, Miss. native now resides in Fairhope, Ala., serving as a journalist for Lagniappe, a newspaper in Mobile, Ala., as their Gulf Cost Correspondent for Alabama Public Radio.

Will Chandler

William Rice Chandler received his Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations in 1998 from Mississippi State University. The Starkville, Miss., native now resides in Guntown, Miss., serving as Territory Manager with Oyster Point Pharmaceuticals. Chandler’s job territory covers northwest Miss., West Tenn., and northeast Ark.
